About Me

As an artist for over 30 years my career as a salon owner, color specialist and stylist had given me the unique opportunity to express my creativity. Unfortunately, after many years of working with chemicals, my lungs were eventually compromised, forcing me to end my career.

Shortly after my hairstyling career ended, I took several classes at local art schools and workshops, and quickly learned that designing jewelry was my next passion. In a short period of time, my wire crochet bead work received two first-place awards for its unique design and was also selected as 1 of 50 pieces from over 600 juried works of art for the 50th Chautauqua National Exhibition of American Art in New York. My crocheted pieces were displayed and viewed by more than 70,000 people.

As my artistic journey evolved, I expanded my jewelry work to include silver, bronze, copper clay, and eventually discovered polymer clay, which also became a true passion of mine.

In 2020, my career was deeply affected by COVID-19, leading me into retirement. During that time, I devoted myself to caring for my aging mother following the loss of my father in 2020. Sadly, my mother passed away in April 2024 — a loss no one can truly comprehend.

Several months later, I finally returned to my polymer clay work. Creating again brought a renewed sense of purpose and joy back into my life. My mother was always my greatest inspiration. She constantly encouraged my creativity and believed in my work, motivating me to continue growing as an artist.

Today, after 25 years, I feel inspired and alive once again through my art, and I would love the opportunity to share that creativity with others through workshops in our community craft room and local gallery.

I look forward to hearing from you. Please feel free to contact me by phone, email or Facebook listed on my contact page.
